On 1 August 2025, we unveil the Interactive Ship’s Log Exhibit, a cutting-edge addition that transforms historic records into a hands-on experience.

Feature Highlights

  • Captain’s Entries: High-resolution scans and transcriptions of original logbook pages.
  • Crew Voices: Audio dramatizations bring sailors’ and passengers’ personal accounts to life.
  • Voyage Map: An interactive global map tracks the Edwin Fox’s journeys in real time.

Developed with maritime historians and digital designers, this exhibit sets a new standard for heritage interpretation. Join us on 31 July for an evening launch event with guest speakers and live demonstrations—RSVP now for members and Auckland residents; tickets for non-members available soon.

"Excellent price for what's on offer. I loved the upstairs room with the chronology of the boat, the documentary video about it, and also the more general history of shipping in the area. The ancient boat itself was the cherry on top. Great experience and thoroughly recommended!!"
